A beautifully crafted pair of bent pole rattan Organic Modern lounge chairs and matching ottoman made by artisans at McGuire in San Francisco, CA. The distinctive oversized chairs feature a hand-crafted frame constructed from bent rattan poles lashed together with leather rawhide laces. The chairs are crafted with dramatic horseshoe-form backs comprised of rattan poles fanning outwards from the seat. The top rail sweeps downwards gracefully into the flared arms. The seats are crafted with a rattan pole apron having an oak inner structure containing an interlaced seat support webbing. The chairs are supported by straight rattan pole legs joined by a X-stretcher. The set is finished with plush fitted loose seat cushions in an off-white fabric. The ottoman mirrors the construction of the chairs with rattan poles joined by leather rawhide lashings and is topped by a matching cream seat cushion. The frames are sturdy and strong having excellent joinery and craftsmanship in exceptional well preserved condition as seen in photos. The set comes from a dry non-humid, mold free California climate. The set is crafted in a distinct blend of Tropical Palm Beach, Organic Modern, and California Coastal styles, and is well-suited for use in a variety of spaces. McGuire manufacturer's tags are present on the seat frame of chairs. Measurements listed are for chairs. Ottoman measures 26" wide, 26" deep, and 17" tall. Sold as a set of three.
