The table features a beautifully figured oval wood top with a molded edge, supported by an elaborate solid wood carved pedestal base. Four dramatically scrolled legs are decorated with finely detailed lion heads, flowing acanthus carvings, and paw-and-ball feet. The turned central column features additional foliate ornamentation.

The rich wood tones, beautifully aged finish, and sculptural carved base give this table an exceptional presence. A wonderful example of the elaborate furniture designs popular during the Victorian Renaissance Revival period.

The tabletop is fixed and features a striking grain pattern with dark figured areas throughout. The base is constructed of solid carved wood. We believe the table to be made from either mahogany or walnut.

Good antique condition with age-appropriate wear, including scattered scratches, finish wear, surface variations, and a lighter area on the tabletop. Please see photographs for details.
