A Murano glass bird sculpture with a dramatically elongated tail sweeping upward from a rounded body. Blue and turquoise tones frame rich amethyst-purple coloration, with pink and wine-colored areas visible as the lighting and viewing angle change. The glossy surface and curved silhouette give the piece a strong sculptural presence, while its rounded glass pedestal provides a compact base.
A vintage Murano glass piece, circa 1960s, retaining its worn Murano label.
Offered as one sculpture, it measures 21 inches from beak to tail, 5 inches across at its widest point, and 17 inches high at its highest point. The piece weighs 10.4 pounds. Its elongated profile makes it a distinctive accent for a console, sideboard, or display shelf with sufficient clearance for the tail.
