This early edition of the so-called Plank Chair, Model GE-290 was manufactured during the 1950s. Hans J. Wegner designed this easy chair in 1953 for the traditional furniture manufacture Getama, located in Gedsted, Denmark. The high-quality chair is in all original condition. It features an oak wood frame showing a nice grain. The frame has the high-quality elastic metal spiral belts from the 1950s. The two heavy cushions have inner metal springs and metal reinforcements along the edges to ensure form stability. Also the multicolored fabric is the original cover from the 1950s. This piece has an attribution mark,
