This vintage sculpture features a finely detailed hand holding a vibrant lotus blossom, crafted using the traditional Liuli (pate de verre / colored glass) technique. The piece displays a beautiful gradient of translucent colors, transitioning from smoky grey and amber in the hand to deep crimson and emerald green in the petals, accented with gold details on the wrist bracelet and lotus base.
The bottom of the base bears the four-character seal “乾隆年製” (Qianlong Nian Zhi), indicating it is a later reproduction of the classic imperial style. In Buddhist symbolism, the open hand holding a lotus represents purity, spiritual awakening, and the offering of wisdom. This makes it a serene and striking addition to a meditation space, altar, or curated shelf.
