French Neoclassical Style Bronze/Brass Two-Arm Wall Sconces Set of 2.
This is an exceptional pair of Louis XVI Neoclassical style double-arm wall sconces crafted from ornate, heavy cast gilded brass or bronze. This style emphasizes symmetry, geometric structure, and motifs inspired by Roman and Greek antiquity. Each sconce features a prominent, architectural tapered standard adorned with fluting, foliage details, and a distinct finial terminal at the very bottom.
At the crown of the column sits a beautifully detailed Neoclassical urn or draped fire vase wrapped in classical swags. Two elegant, symmetrical serpentine arms extend from the central pillar, sweeping upward to hold fluted drip-pans (bobeches) and ribbed candle cups designed to look like classical columns or torches.
