Introduce rare, old-world European heritage to a holiday mantel, entry console, or library bookshelf with this exceptional hand-cast chalkware Father Christmas sculpture. Poured from an authentic, highly collectible circa 1920 Laurösch #3024 German confectionery mold, this piece stands as a masterful bridge between traditional folk artistry and upscale, heritage-focused holiday design.
The statuette depicts a classic, dignified Belsnickle figure holding a beautifully detailed lantern, clad in a sweeping, traditional hooded winter coat. Crafted with meticulous bench precision in our studio, the sculpture features a layered, hand-applied vintage chalk and antique wax patina. The rich, deep warm tones settle flawlessly into the intricate texturing of the long flowing beard, full fur trim, and heavy garment folds, leaving a time-softened, authentic heirloom finish. The figure is solidly anchored to a natural, bark-rimmed raw wood slice accented with hand-applied texture snow for a whimsical, high-contrast forest floor vignette.
The entire sculpture is professionally sealed with a durable archival matte topcoat to protect the delicate hand-painted detailing and provide a low-luster museum finish. An extraordinary, one-of-a-kind seasonal focal point that elevates traditional, English country, grandmillennial, or primitive farmhouse holiday displays with quiet, historic luxury.
This is the original physical piece sculpted/created by the artist.
Dimensions: Dimensions: 7.5” inches tall x 2.5” w base x 1.75” depth on a 4” wood base.
