Cast from a highly collectible, authentic late-19th-century Schall NY mold, this piece features a custom-engineered "Ancient Basalt Stone" style that beautifully mimics weathered, architectural salvage.
The gray casting is uniquely hand-cratered to replicate the organic, porous surfaces of natural volcanic rock. A specialized warm wicker-white acrylic wash is flooded deeply into the recessed grass lines, saddle details, and muscle grooves, recreating the striking look of heavy calcified mineral and quartz deposits accumulated over decades of exposure. With sharp, smooth edges achieved via a precision-poured framework, this standalone plaster slab sits beautifully on a shelf or mantle, anchoring modern farmhouse, rustic minimal, or brutalist home decor with historic charm.
