RARE 1970s British Holly Hobbie Style Sarah Kay "Sun Bonnet Girls" Print Curtain Panels - A Pair
A beautiful, rare pair of authentic vintage 1970s curtain panels featuring the nostalgic cottagecore illustrations of beloved British artist Sarah Kay. Manufactured in England by Wardle Fabrics and licensed via The Valentine Publishing Co. I brought these back from a recent trip to Ireland.
This fabric features an incredibly detailed repeat pattern showcasing eight (8) distinct signature Sarah Kay characters:
1. Girl with Toy Hoop & Cat
2. Girl Feeding White Ducks
3. Girl Cradling a Spaniel Puppy
4. Girl Sweeping with a Straw Broom
5. Profile of Girl in Patched Denim Flares Picking Wildflowers
6. Girl Tucking a Rag Doll Behind Her Back
7. Profile of Girl in Mustard Yellow Dress Admiring a Flower
8. Barefoot Girl with a Large Flower Wicker Basket
Dimensions (Per Panel):
- Width: 28 inches across the gathered top header (Flat fabric width is significantly wider)
- Length/Drop: 65 inches long
Features & Condition:
- Features an intact pencil-pleat header tape on the reverse top side, ready to accept standard drapery hooks or tracks.
- Colors remain vivid and lovely. Structurally sound with tight seams.
- Vintage condition: Minor light surface storage dust/discoloration along the natural fold lines from decades of storage, which is common for textiles of this era and typically lifts with gentle, specialized vintage laundering.
Perfect as functional retro window drapes, bedroom nursery decor, or as a generous supply of rare vintage fabric yardage for sewing pillows, aprons, and patchwork crafts!
