A vintage Pendleton wool table runner from the 1980s, woven in a soft camel tan with bands of charcoal, black, cream and red finishing the ends above a full fringe. The stripes are twill woven, so they carry a fine diagonal texture against the plain camel ground.
The woven Pendleton Woolen Mills label of Portland, Oregon is still sewn in. It reads pure virgin wool and made in U.S.A., and a separate care tag calls for dry cleaning. Pendleton has been weaving American wool since 1909, and the quality shows in the weight and hand of this piece.
At 13" wide and 50" long, it fits a dining table, console, sideboard or mantel, and it works just as well laid across a bench or the foot of a bed. The neutral camel ground and classic stripe suit a cabin, a ski house, a farmhouse kitchen or a library with equal ease.
Condition is good vintage, lovingly used. The wool is soft and the colors are strong. The fringe shows gentle age and use, with a little tangling and some light toning at the ends. Please see the photographs, which are part of the description.
