Vintage 1981 commemorative unframed paper poster celebrating the tenth anniversary of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
The poster features Ocean Park No. 83 (1975), a celebrated abstract composition by American artist Richard Diebenkorn. Its restrained palette of soft ivory, pale blue, rose, and deep navy creates a sophisticated geometric composition characteristic of Diebenkorn's acclaimed Ocean Park series.
The original painting was part of the Corcoran Gallery of Art collection in Washington, D.C. and is now held by the National Gallery of Art.
An appealing piece of American cultural history, this vintage poster combines modern abstract art with the legacy of one of the nation's premier performing arts institutions.
