This striking pair of figures depicts Pixiu, mythical beasts traditionally associated with attracting wealth and warding off evil. Each figure is crafted from bronze with a bright, gilded finish and is shown in a dynamic, striding pose. The creatures feature detailed, flowing manes, prominent snouts with open mouths, bulging eyes, and bodies adorned with stylized scale and scroll motifs. Their curled tails sweep upward elegantly. Each figure stands atop a rectangular base decorated with a raised, scrolling wave border. This set is a fine example of traditional decorative art, combining detailed casting with a rich gilt finish.
