The figure is crafted from a bronze body with a rich, dark patina on the exposed skin and a richly decorated cloisonné enamel robe. The robe features a vibrant turquoise ground adorned with colorful scrolling vine and floral motifs in shades of red, yellow, orange, and white. The head is detailed with a high, ornate crown and flowing robes that drape softly over the body. Guanyin's right hand is raised in a teaching gesture, while the left hand holds a small vessel. The figure is seated upon a detailed, multi-tiered lotus base with a dark bronze finish. The underside of the base bears a rectangular cast seal mark. This piece is a striking example of traditional decorative art, combining sculptural bronze elements with fine enamel work.
