This charming sculpture depicts two owls perched side-by-side on a gnarled tree branch and stump. The piece is crafted from bronze with a rich, dark patina and accented with traces of gold and red pigment, giving it an aged, antique appearance. The owls are detailed with large, expressive eyes, prominent ear tufts, and textured feathers. Their folded wings are decorated with intricate, swirling scrollwork in a reddish-brown tone, while the leaves on the branch are highlighted in a contrasting green. The base is modeled as a textured tree stump. This piece is a fine example of traditional decorative art, combining detailed casting with subtle polychrome accents.
