This charming sculpture depicts a dragon-turtle (Longgui), a traditional symbol of longevity, stability, and wisdom. The figure is crafted from a bronze body and decorated with cloisonné enamel. The head, legs, and tail are finished in bright gilding with detailed scale and flame-like patterns, while the domed shell features a deep green enamel ground adorned with stylized scrolling vines and colorful floral motifs in red, pink, and white, framed by a red border. The creature stands on four clawed feet and has a stylized, upswept gilt tail. This piece is a striking example of traditional decorative art, combining sculptural bronze elements with fine enamel work.
