This striking sculpture depicts a mythical beast, likely a Pixiu or winged lion, a traditional symbol of wealth and protection. The figure is crafted from a bronze body and richly decorated with cloisonné enamel. It features a vibrant turquoise ground adorned with dense, colorful scrolling vine and floral motifs in shades of red, yellow, green, blue, and white. The head is detailed with a dark, curled mane, prominent ears, and an open mouth, while a stylized, dark bronze tail curls upward. The creature stands in a dynamic, striding pose on four clawed feet. This piece is a striking example of traditional decorative art, combining sculptural bronze elements with fine enamel work.
