The figure is masterfully crafted from bronze, featuring a rich, dark patina on the lower garments and base, contrasted with extensive bright gilding on the face, torso, arms, and feet. Green Tara is seated in a relaxed, regal posture (lalitasana) on a double-lotus base, with one leg extended. Her right hand is extended in the varada mudra (gesture of generosity), while her left hand is raised in a teaching gesture, holding the stem of a lotus. She has a serene, downcast expression, a third eye on her forehead, and her hair is styled in a high, tiered topknot. The figure is adorned with a jeweled necklace and flowing robes and sashes. This piece is a striking example of traditional Buddhist sculptural art, combining detailed casting with rich gilding.
