This elegant pair of double-gourd vases is crafted from a bronze body and richly decorated with cloisonné enamel. Each vase features a vibrant turquoise ground adorned with a dense, continuous pattern of stylized clouds and scrolling vines. The bodies are prominently decorated with large red Shou (longevity) characters, flanked by colorful bat motifs—traditional symbols of good fortune and blessings. The lower sections feature gilded peach sprays, further reinforcing the theme of longevity. Each vase is topped with a domed cover adorned with floral and scroll motifs, and features a distinctive, ornate handle shaped as a stylized bird or mythical creature. The bases bear a square enameled seal mark. This set is a striking example of traditional decorative art, combining sculptural bronze elements with fine enamel work.
