This impressive sculpture depicts a rooster, a traditional symbol of punctuality, fidelity, and good fortune. The figure is masterfully crafted from gilt bronze and richly decorated with cloisonné enamel. The head features a prominent textured gilt comb and wattle, with a gilded beak. The body is adorned with intricate, overlapping feather patterns in vibrant polychrome enamel, including deep reds, greens, blues, purples, and yellows, with fine gilt wire detailing throughout. The rooster stands proudly on a tiered, hexagonal base decorated with stylized green, black, white, and blue enamel panels featuring geometric and floral motifs. The piece is a striking example of traditional decorative art, combining sculptural gilt bronze elements with fine enamel work.
