This striking pair of bronze vessels is modeled in the form of standing elephants, drawing inspiration from archaic ritual bronzes. Each elephant features large, flared ears, tusks, and a trunk curving inward. The bodies are richly cast with intricate, low-relief taotie and scrolling cloud motifs across the entire surface, accented by a prominent mask on the chest and a stylized bird finial perched on the back. The surface displays a deep, mottled patina with areas of green oxidation, enhancing the antique aesthetic. The vessels are hollow, with an opening on the back for use as a container or incense burner. The underside of one elephant bears cast characters.
