Original 1974 copper engraving by French artist Philippe Mohlitz (1941–2019), titled *Les Rêveurs* (The Dreamers). The work is signed and dated in pencil by the artist and numbered 63/100 from a limited edition of 100.
The circular composition depicts an imagined architectural interior filled with towering columns, stone arches, overgrown foliage, and small human figures. Light filters through the structure, creating dramatic contrasts between illuminated spaces and deep shadows.
Philippe Mohlitz was a French printmaker known for his intricate copper engravings, often created using the traditional burin technique. His work frequently explores imaginary landscapes, elaborate architecture, and surreal environments. His engravings are held in public collections, including the Bibliothèque nationale de France and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Printed on ivory-toned paper with deckled edges, the engraving is float-mounted against a textured black backing and presented in a narrow silver-tone frame.
