Each vessel features a bulbous body adorned with vibrant floral scrollwork on a deep blue ground, centered by a panel depicting two caparisoned elephants flanking a stylized character in red. The censers are fitted with domed lids featuring openwork scrolling designs and are topped with a finial shaped as a seated elephant. The sides are flanked by handles modeled as elephant heads, and the vessels rest on four legs shaped as elephant heads and trunks. Each burner is elevated on a matching cloisonné stand with a pierced apron and curved legs. The set is a striking example of traditional decorative art, combining sculptural gilt bronze elements with fine enamel work. The interior of the vessels and the undersides of the covers reveal a deep blue enamel finish.
