Louis XVI style stool with low arms has multiple uses around your home.
It can be used as a window seat, vanity bench or piano bench, a footstool, a perch by the door for putting on your shoes or an extra chair anywhere.
This finely crafted bench features hand carved motifs including acanthus leaves on the arms and tops of the legs, rosettes in the corner blocks, fluted tapered legs and running leaf scroll on the apron. The seat upholstery is tawny leather accented with brass nail heads.
MADE mid to late 20th C. Manufacturer and country of origin unknown.
MARKINGS: The square yellow label on the underside may be a quality control inspector's sign off.
MEASUREMENTS: 32" x 16.75" x 23.25 arm height.
Very good pre-owned condition. Strong and sturdy. There are some scuffs on the end of one arm (see photo). No chips, cracks, breaks or scratches to the wood. Some wear on the seat. No rips, punctures, tears or stains.
