Handsome Victorian mahogany armchair in the Chippendale style, circa 1890. The shaped crest rail features carved foliage and scroll ends above an elaborate pierced central splat Acanthus leaves, flowing scrolls and small floral rosettes decorate the back. Sweeping arms terminate in carved scrolls above gently curved supports. The generous upholstered seat is covered in an intricate patterned fabric in muted pink, cream and green tones. Raised on square front legs with swept rear legs. An attractive desk or occasional chair with classic Georgian inspired styling. All items fully restored and offered in very good condition.
