Textile designer: antonín kybal
model: h-269
this exceptionally iconic pair of armchairs (model h-269) in the distinct art deco style dates from the 1930s in czechoslovakia. The significant authorial signature of this exceptional set bears the hallmark of the renowned czechoslovak designer jindřich halabala, produced by the prestigious up factories. The primary artistic concept stems from modernist principles of dynamic fluidity, ergonomics, and master craftsmanship of bent beech wood. The architectural structure of the armchairs is built upon robust, seamlessly flowing bases forming dynamic side arches that visually lighten the entire construction while transitioning into comfortable armrests. The outstanding aesthetic impression is heightened by the use of original, highly valuable fabric by the famous designer antonín kybal in an elegant green shade, imparting an unmistakable interwar charm and high utility value to the furniture.
the items are in an original, very well-preserved condition and have undergone professional cleaning. Thanks to this, these unique armchairs have fully retained their precious historical patina, authenticity, and extraordinary collector's value while offering one hundred percent functionality and uncompromising comfort.
thanks to their renowned modernist origin, prestigious design by jindřich halabala, authorial textile by antonín kybal, and utterly timeless design, these armchairs serve as a highly prestigious yet fully functional element in a modern interior. They stand out perfectly in a representative living room, a luxury library, or as a breathtaking design solitaire in a space emphasizing top-tier interwar czechoslovak design.
