West German ceramic - not an East German vase
This vase belongs to the so-called "Fat Lava" West German pottery style, which was very popular in the 1960s. This explains the strong, textured glaze and the rather organic-abstract form. The designer was Heinz Siery, making this beautiful vase a collector's item! I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
from
misattribution
