A charming and meticulously handcrafted vintage wooden model of a traditional tall ship, featuring the classic "croatia" plaque affixed to its solid wood display base. This decorative maritime piece highlights the rich coastal and shipbuilding heritage of the adriatic region. This model pays homage to the rich maritime legacy of the eastern adriatic coast—spanning from the historic ports of rijeka and senj to dubrovnik—where master shipwrights (kalafates) built some of the most resilient and seaworthy merchant sailing ships of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Historically, these multi-masted square-riggers were the backbone of mediterranean and transatlantic trade, used primarily for long-distance cargo transport, linking coastal towns, and sustaining the region's formidable seafaring tradition. Crafted from polished hardwoods featuring hand-stitched striped fabric sails, intricate rigging, deck fittings, and a miniature flag at the stern. It's in excellent condition
