Vintage Original Cardboard Advertising Poster "Göricke" in Mint Condition!
Germany, circa 1930
Founded in 1874 in Bielefeld, the Göricke Works were among the most important German bicycle and motorcycle manufacturers.
This vibrant advertising poster, offered here, is from the Göricke Works (August Göricke Machine and Bicycle Works Bielefeld) and dates from the late 1920s. It was discovered as part of a portfolio of paintings.
The glossy image depicts a well-dressed couple on exclusive Göricke bicycles, impressively conveying the charm of early German bicycle history.
The poster prominently features a cyclist in period clothing showing his female companion the impressive architecture of the Göricke bicycle factory.
Almost imperceptibly, he also draws the viewer's attention to this beautiful image of the bicycle factory.
The poster's condition could hardly be better. It appears this example has never seen daylight. It's not warped, there are no tears whatsoever, and as already mentioned\. superb gloss and colors, see the XXL photos.
Absolutely unrestored original condition – a fantastic piece for any collection!
Poster dimensions: 40 cm x 60 cm, inscription bottom left: Ges. gesch. Reprinting prohibited
Inscription bottom right: Aktiengesellschaft für Kunstdruck, Niedersedlitz near Dresden.
