Sourced from an antique shop in France, the piece is stylized with signature Art Deco geometric elements, including closely spaced parallel incised rings (godrons) wrapping around both the base and the high-lipped lid. The exterior is beautifully adorned with eight hand-set, smooth cabochon-cut semi-precious hardstones nestled within raised bezels, The contrasting stones consist of natural vibrant green chrysoprase (or dyed green agate) and rich wine-red carnelian minerals, which glow when caught in the light and remain cold to the touch. Uniquely constructed via professional metal-spinning - indicated by a singular lathe point or centering pip on its base. The jar is highly resonant and yields a clear , bell-like ring when tapped. Opening the lid reveals a luxurious, warm gold-wash (vermeil) interior lining.
