An Italian wall mirror from the 1950s, featuring a refined shield shape, a slender brass frame, and a beveled mirror, in the style of Gio Ponti. The gently curved upper profile and rounded lower section create an elegant, sculptural silhouette characteristic of Italian Mid-Century Modern design. The brass frame follows the mirror’s perimeter with a delicate decorative detail, accentuating its sinuous lines without weighing down its proportions. The glass’s beveled edge adds depth and definition to the shape. The original mirror shows visible oxidation spots and signs of age, as shown in the photographs. These characteristics are consistent with the piece’s age and preserve its original vintage character, retaining the period glass rather than replacing it with a modern mirror.
Dimensions: height 80 cm, width 56 cm.
