A magnificent example of Mid-Century Modern design from the 1960s–1970s:
Decoration: Colorful abstract and geometric pattern (yellow, red, blue, orange) incised in low relief on a very elegant glossy black background.
Markings: Signed "Verzolini" on the base, signature present on the side of the jar, as well as its original "Made in Italy" label.
Verzolini's creations from the 1960s and 1970s are famous for their dark glazes (often black or petrol blue) contrasting with brightly colored geometric patterns, typical of Italian design of that era.

The contrast between the deep black enamel and the incised colored outlines is the true signature of the manufactory's iconic creations from the 1960s and 70s. Still operating today under the direction of the Verzolini family, the workshop remains a benchmark of Italian fine craftsmanship.
