Beautiful, original linocut by a polish emerging artist.
about the artwork:
a powerful study of form and silhouette. This 2020 etching captures the profound intimacy of the human body. A deep black void defines the figures. Only precise white lines trace the contours of skin and muscle. The composition blends portraiture with the exploration of the nude. Each stroke behaves like a silver thread. It navigates the curves of a face and the tension of a limb. The contrast remains stark and absolute. There is a rhythmic quality to the overlapping shapes. This creates a sense of entanglement and unity. The artist transforms a simple print into an emotive exploration of presence. The gaze stays focused on the intersection of light and shadow. The resulting image evokes a feeling of quiet introspection. Every line serves a structural purpose. The artwork rests on the delicate balance between what is visible and what remains hidden in the dark.
