The tray features a clean rectilinear form accented by two sculptural raised handles at either end, a characteristic expression of the geometric elegance associated with the Art Deco period.

The richly grained oak has been finished using the cerusing technique, which highlights the natural open grain with contrasting lighter tones, creating a sophisticated textured surface. The understated design and warm patina allow the material's character to take center stage, making this piece equally suited for practical use or display as a decorative accent.

Labels to the underside include Cupillard Orfèvre, Grenoble and a decorator's label, adding further historical interest and suggesting a retail or decorative arts provenance.

The tray remains in good vintage condition, showing normal wear and patina consistent with age and use.
