Artisan-crafted in France, the piece has a graceful curved silhouette and an especially decorative crest that gives it a strong sculptural presence.
The solid beechwood frame has been professionally refinished in a warm antique-gold finish, emphasizing the depth of the carving while retaining an attractive vintage character. The crest is particularly striking, featuring three finely carved putti, with the central figure surrounded by elaborate acanthus leaves and classical ornamentation.
The curved back incorporates traditional woven cane with a central upholstered medallion in a coordinating rose silk-cotton damask. The seat has been newly upholstered in soft antique-rose velvet with deep tufting, while the armrests feature elegant plissé-style velvet for additional texture. The reverse is also finished in matching rose velvet, allowing the settee to be displayed beautifully from multiple angles.
New interior padding provides comfortable and supportive seating while preserving the elegant original proportions.
