Both figures are depicted in a dynamic, walking pose with their heads raised and mouths open, displaying prominent manes and fierce expressions. The bodies are decorated with a vibrant turquoise-blue enamel ground covered in scrolling floral and cloud motifs in red, green, blue, and white. The exposed metal parts, including the heads, paws, and tails, are finished in bright gold (gilt).
