This is a cast bronze vase featuring extensive gold inlay (gilt bronze) decoration. The vessel has a flared mouth, a bulbous mid-section, and a flared base. Two prominent handles shaped like stylized bird heads (phoenix) are attached to the neck. The surface is richly decorated with gold inlay, featuring dynamic, intertwined dragon or bird motifs across the body, droplet patterns near the handles, and a band of scrolling cloud designs around the base. The upper neck and lower body are densely inscribed with archaic characters in gold. The bronze exhibits a deep, aged patina with green oxidation and reddish-brown tones, characteristic of antique metalwork.
