The piece is decorated with intricate gold inlay (gilt bronze) in scrolling cloud and geometric patterns across the camel's body, neck, and legs. The camel is depicted in a dynamic, striding pose with its head raised and mouth slightly open, while the rider sits calmly atop the hump. The tail is stylized with vertical ridges. The metal shows a rich, aged patina with areas of green oxidation, reddish-brown rust, and remnants of the original gold finish, giving it a distinct antique character. The letters "YK" or similar stylized markings are visible in gold on the lower neck area.
