The figure is richly decorated with intricate, archaic-style relief patterns across its body, including bold spiral motifs, scrolling clouds, and geometric key-fret borders. The ox features curved horns, a distinct snout, and sturdy legs. The vessel is designed with a removable lid that forms the upper back of the animal, topped with a small, stylized finial shaped like a recumbent beast. The bronze exhibits a deep, dark patina with extensive verdigris (green oxidation) throughout the recessed details, giving it a distinguished, excavated appearance. This piece is a powerful representation of traditional metalwork and would make a captivating addition to any collection of antique bronzes or Asian artifacts.
