The figure is richly decorated with intricate, archaic-style relief patterns across its body, including stylized scrollwork, geometric key-fret borders, and a prominent spiral motif on its shoulder. The elephant has a raised trunk and features a removable, oval lid on its back, topped with a small finial shaped like a standing baby elephant. The bronze exhibits a deep, dark patina with extensive verdigris (green oxidation) throughout the recessed details, giving it a distinguished, excavated appearance. This piece is a powerful representation of traditional metalwork and would make a captivating addition to any collection of antique bronzes or Asian artifacts.
