Hand-knotted in Tibet during the mid-20th century (circa 1940s1960s), this piece was likely made as a mat or altar rug. The wool is soft and thick, with rich original colors: deep indigo blue, soft gold, cream, and warm red accents. The back shows classic Tibetan knotting and the original cotton edge tape. A wonderful collectible example of traditional Tibetan textile art, perfect as a wall hanging, meditation mat, decorative accent, or for collectors of Asian art. See less
