This exquisite vintage Chinese seal is carved from premium Tianhuang stone, featuring a warm, honey-yellow hue with remarkable translucency. The stone is highly prized for its smooth, moist texture and delicate "radish thread" vein patterns, which are clearly visible throughout the piece.
The top of the seal is meticulously carved with a detailed Pixiu (a mythical auspicious beast), symbolizing good fortune and protection. The rectangular base is engraved with elegant, dark-filled traditional Chinese calligraphy. This piece is a fine example of traditional Chinese seal carving, attributed to the artist Xu Sangeng. It is a distinguished addition to any collection of Asian antiques or scholar's objects.
