Manufactured in East Palestine, Ohio by the celebrated Bel Terr China company (BTC) circa 1970, these pieces represent the pinnacle of heavy-duty American restaurant pottery production.

Each exceptional dish is highly vitrified, incredibly dense, and weighs just over two pounds on its own. Built to easily handle high-heat residential or commercial ovens, the design features a deep chocolate-brown glazed exterior elegantly contrasted by a smooth, cream-colored interior. Crafted with six distinct, recessed wells to keep snail shells, stuffed button mushrooms, or baked quail eggs upright, the dishes are completed by two small, integrated side tab handles for easy transport.

The unglazed stoneware undersides carry crisp factory stamps displaying the "BTC USA" trademark alongside vintage mold numbers (predominantly mold 91154 and baseline 1154), mapping a fascinating history of transitional workshop marks from a legendary mid-century kiln. Pristine and uniform, this complete set of six functions effortlessly for modern hosting or as an elevated rustic design accent for the gourmet kitchen.
