Elegant vintage credenza by Kittinger, crafted in richly figured mahogany with beautifully detailed brass grille doors and a refined architectural form.
The cabinet features a broad rectangular top with particularly attractive natural grain, a molded frieze, paneled upper section, and a pair of cabinet doors fitted with decorative brass latticework over pleated fabric panels. Brass accents at the corners and feet add a restrained neoclassical touch.
The interior provides generous storage with adjustable shelving, making the piece practical as a dining room credenza, living room cabinet, bar cabinet, or entry console.
The top has been carefully refinished to address prior surface wear while retaining the character of the original piece. The refinishing revealed especially handsome natural figure in the wood and was completed to complement the existing finish of the cabinet rather than make the piece appear newly manufactured.
Includes key.
A strong example of Kittinger’s traditional American cabinetmaking, combining substantial construction with sophisticated decorative detailing.
