Painted on my lanai as I vacationed in Hawaii, this small artwork captures a memorable moment of island inspiration. The lively surf, billowing white clouds, sea-glass greens and blues, and cheerful orange surfboard evoke the carefree spirit of a day spent near the water. Loose, expressive brushwork gives the painting a fresh, spontaneous quality, while the balancing pose of the surfer adds movement and personality.

Signed by the artist, this original work would be a delightful accent for a coastal cottage, beach house, vacation home, or a gallery wall inspired by the sea. Its intimate size also makes it a thoughtful gift for a surfer, ocean lover, or anyone who treasures the Hawaiian islands.
