Here is a vintage 1940s American wool blanket by Orr Felt & Blanket Co., featuring a beautiful, iconic color way and design.
Made from 100% pure wool, the blanket has a beautifully soft, textured surface with three bold horizontal stripes set against a vibrant green background. The classic striped design has a wonderful rustic Americana appeal, with an unexpected combination of colors that feels equally at home in a traditional cabin or a more eclectic interior.
The original Orrlaskan label remains attached, featuring a charming illustration of a dog sled team against a mountain landscape. Manufactured by the Orr Felt & Blanket Co. of Piqua, Ohio, the blanket is a lovely example of American woolen textiles. Both ends are finished with decorative blanket stitching, adding a charming handcrafted touch.
Generously sized, it makes a wonderful accent draped over a sofa, folded at the foot of a bed or displayed in a cozy mountain retreat.
**Two matching blankets are available, each sold individually. Both are in very good vintage condition with minor age-appropriate wear.
