This is a very impressive bronze hanging chandelier with a richly articulated central part, arms ending in candle holders and a characteristic lower bowl. The whole acts as a distinctive representative element suitable for historical, castle, sacral and collector's interiors. The chandelier is made of bronze with a beautiful natural patina. The central axis has a turned profile, complemented by a rich tangle of volute ornaments, decorative floral elements and radially arranged lower arms. It is the combination of a robust bronze structure, finely modeled details and ancient patina that gives the chandelier an exceptionally authentic character. Originally it was a chandelier for oil lighting, which is evidenced in particular by the lower container / bowl and the overall structure of the body. Later, the chandelier was sensitively modified for electric lighting. The electrification is new and superficial, without irreversible intervention in the historical structure. Cables with a gold-colored fabric braid are used, which match the historical appearance of the chandelier and do not appear distracting. The wiring is led visibly along the surface, which allows for the maximum preservation of the original material. The chandelier is fitted with candle-shaped bulbs that respect the historicizing character of the object. Thanks to the electrification, it can be used as a functional light fixture, but at the same time it retains a strong antique expression and collector's value. The bronze surface bears natural signs of age, minor oxidation, darkening, abrasions and color changes of the patina, which correspond to age and use. This is an exceptionally attractive piece with a very strong decorative effect. In the interior, it acts as a distinctive solitaire and can give the space the atmosphere of an old flemish, castle or sacred environment. It is suitable, for example, for an entrance hall, dining room, library, salon, chapel, historical residence or representative commercial space.
