Small Empire-style bookcase, 19th century
Elegant small bookcase/display cabinet in solid cherry wood, opening at the front
with two glazed doors in molded frames.
The upper section features a slightly projecting, straight pediment, adorned
on the front with a delicate applied gilt-bronze floral motif, adding a refined touch to the piece.
The doors are decorated with gilt-bronze handles and keyhole escutcheons,
featuring stylized palmettes characteristic of the Empire style.
The interior, fitted with shelves, offers ideal space for displaying books, objets d'art, or collections.
The lower part of the doors consists of molded solid panels.
The front legs have detached columns and terminate in decorative bronze rings,
typical of Empire furniture design.
Beautiful warm patina, achieved with beeswax.
