The striking portrait captures Ross in an elaborate, jewel-encrusted costume with dramatic feathered embellishments and her iconic Afro hairstyle, reflecting the glamour and confidence that defined her emergence as an international solo superstar following her years with The Supremes. The reverse bears numerous contemporary editorial annotations, including handwritten identifications reading "Diana Ross – nov. '69 delle Supremes" and "ph. R. Avedon 'Vogue' 1970." Italian editorial stamps from Sorrisi e Canzoni TV indicate publication in issue no. 16 (1973), together with crop marks, sizing instructions, and production notes, confirming the print's use as a working editorial photograph. Very good vintage condition with light handling wear, minor surface marks, editorial annotations, publication stamps, and age toning consistent with a working press photograph.
