Executed in luminous ivory-toned alabaster, this column beautifully showcases the material's natural translucency and subtle veining, qualities that have made Italian alabaster highly prized for centuries.

The pedestal features a circular top supported by an exquisitely carved leaf capital inspired by classical Corinthian ornament. The gracefully turned stem creates a balanced and sculptural profile, combining smooth polished surfaces with delicately carved decorative elements. At the base, foliate motifs echo the capital above, lending the piece a harmonious architectural character.

The softly polished alabaster catches and reflects light beautifully, accentuating the depth and richness of the stone. Its slender proportions make it ideal as a display stand for sculpture, ceramics, bronzes, plants, or other decorative objects, while its sculptural presence allows it to stand alone as an elegant decorative accent.

A sophisticated example of Italian craftsmanship from the turn of the twentieth century, combining classical inspiration with the timeless beauty of natural alabaster.
