Superb English Arts & Crafts sterling silver christening mug by A.E. Jones (A.E.J.), a prestigious Birmingham silversmithing firm renowned for Arts and Crafts design. This exceptional piece bears a dedicatory inscription to John Francis Horsburgh from his grandfather, dated 10th August 1908.
Hallmarks authenticate this treasure: maker's mark A.E.J. for A.E. Jones, Birmingham assay office town mark, Lion Passant indicating sterling silver quality, and a date letter corresponding to the early-to-mid 20th century (George V era).
